imo, dont get ******. MY LQ9 runs strong in my truck, and picked it up for a steal, minus the intake. Keep looking. Runs like a mofo like day 1. That big suburban of your I would not waste money on another 60e. Just give me the money here. That weight vehicle never should have come with a a 60. My old suburban went through 5 60s. My Tahoe only 1. I am on my 2nd 80e though...

My 01 Hoe current setup:
Lq9 (6.0 **): 10.1 compression, flat tops, 227/235 5.3 max torque comp cam, LPP longtube headers, circle d 3200 stall in front 4L80e HD tranny, turning 2wd 4.56 gears 10 bolt, Speedway Racing driveshaft, Nitto 10 ply 35" tires, Professional tuned by Alvin @ Pcm4less!

Past setup:
Ive had 4.88s, and 4000 stall before this current setup.

Future setup:
Single turbo setup this summer = 950 HP 1000 FTlbs = Big Borg with turbo cam.

Take it from experience, Im on a big budget too. Alot of these part needed to be acquired piece by piece. Planning my brother..

:hmmm2:

There is a 6.0L out of an 01 2500hd on craigslist in Lafayette. $1200 OBO. It's been on there for a few weeks and he reposted it Monday.

Well.....
It looks like this project will be scrapped. Or at the very least put on the back burner for quite some time. It's been confirmed that I will have to undergo back surgery next month. So not only can I not do any work myself on this project now, but all the money I had set aside for this is gonna most likely ALL end up going to the hospital and the back surgeon. I can't do any physical labor for AT LEAST 6-8 months after having this surgery, so that us a huge factor in putting off this (and all other) project for the time being.
I have battled with back pain for years, and no less than 4 surgeons now have all strongly suggested I get this lumbar fusion surgery. I wanted to avoid it at all costs, but last week I took a turn for the worse for some reason. I have been walking with a cane almost ever since. When it interferes with my day to day life and the ability to walk normally, I think it's time to finally give in and do this surgery. What do I have to lose at this point?

My G-ma had 2 fusion surgery's, she also had regular cortisone shots to help reduce the pain after.

GL, and take your time recovering!

I feel your pain. I'm a 20 year chronic pain sufferer myself. I have undergone 5 back surgeries and a 2 level fusion. it's been 2 years since the fusion and I'm nowhere near 100%. My pain is reduced (the main reason for the fusion) but you will never be able to do the stuff you use to do before the injury. Everything takes 2-3 times longer because you need to stop because you start to hurt. I still work on my Denali, just more carefully. You plan out what you want to do and make the time to get it done. it's been over 2 years since my fusion and I'm still healing. My surgeon told me not to plan on going back to work for a minimum of 12-18mo. I'm still not back to work and it looks like I won't be either. Prepare yourself for a new different life, it can still be good, just not what it was. and if you try to be superman and do an engine swap in a week, you will pay the price. Better plan on 6mo to be safe. just do a little every day, that's all we can hope for. will we ever be pain-free? no, just not so much for as long, it will always be there to remind you when you do something you shouldn't. I'm moving and it should only take a few days, well its taken me over a month so far. Good luck with the surgery and LISTEN to your doctors. The first 30 days will be little more then vegging out. When the PT starts, ease into it and do your home workouts. sure it will hurt for a while, but it will get better.

Well that sucks to hear. The surgeon is getting me all exciting saying he thinks that sighing a year and a half that I should be pretty much fully healed and there will be almost no limitations at that point. Granted, I'm younger than you are. I honestly don't want to get this surgery, but I'd rather get the surgery than live in intense pain. I can deal with pain up to a certain point. And I have been doing that for many years now. But when I have intense nerve pain that is so bad I cannot walk? And so bad that suicide actually entered my mind? Yes, that's my breaking point. I cannot live in that type of pain. And if surgery is what I have to do to get relief , then bring it on.
