When I bought my k2xx a few weeks ago, the center console lid was contorted. A common issue with high mileage Tahoes. So I replaced it with an inexpensive one from eBay. I'm fine with the result; the factory original was real leather-the replacement is vinyl. But it looks good enough. And to protect it from more damage, I bought an inexpensive cover from eBay. It was around $30 I believe.

Looking Good. You might consider adding this wireless charger for the console Lid. It is wider than the OEM and is plug and play off of the power point for the second row seats.

Wow that's awesome! Is that aftermarket? If so, where'd you get it??

It’s a GM part that is a $495 option but my Tahoe didn’t come with it. Chevy sells it for about that same price. I looked around and found one on sale and I saved around $50 and had my dealer install. I watched some YouTube videos and it looked like more than I wanted to get into. The dealer charged $150 to install and that included changing out the rear gold one to the black but rear is not illuminated.

Whoa nice! My OEM lid had wireless charging so I just swapped those components into this replacement lid. Everything fit!

Awesome, thanks! I saw some aftermarket ones that had a really cheapo blue tint. Just want to make sure I stay away from those. This is definitely on my list. Yours is looking awesome!

Just got the Tahoe back from the shop. Kryptonite leveling kit installed, broken motor mount replaced, intake manifold gasket replaced.

We found out that one of the intake manifolds is bent, so it's still leaking. I am ordering long tube headers to replace them. Also the rear springs are sagging. At the moment, the front is about 1.25" taller than the rear. I'm gonna wait until I replace the rear springs and everything is dialed in and settled before I adjust the front suspension down to true level.

Also, I'm leaving in the morning from here in Lewes Beach, Delaware and heading to Nederland, Texas to swap the 6 speed stock transmission with a 10 speed. After that we'll do the headers and full custom exhaust using my dual Valvetronic mufflers, then a Black Bear tune, then off to the paint shop!

So my tablet head unit went blank around the 500 mile mark of this Texas road trip (3000 mile round trip) and had not responded again by the time I arrived in Texas. The AC controls still worked and the tablet's backlight did come on when I turned on the vehicle. I was pretty pissed.

Shawn at Powertrain Swap Solutions explained that this is most likely just a case of logic lock on the tablet. If so, disconnecting power and allowing the capacitors to drain would fix the problem. He unhooked the battery and let it sit overnight. Upon returning the next morning, he rehooked the power and the tablet came back to life. Many thanks, once again, to Shawn!
