I think I am having the same issue . there is plastic plate about an inch or so that makes jump seat unable to get seated, kind of suspended above the white bolts sticking up.

Is this important? Can I remove this cover or the entire thing?View attachment 396323
Like others stated in this thread, you can remove the cover. There’s an SRS module under it that you don’t want to mess with except to possibly move it a little if the wiring harness allows it and it’s absolutely necessary. You should have enough clearance if you remove the cover.

Does anyone know how to get out these bolts that just spin? I can think this is what is keeping jump seat from going flush

I had to crawl under the car and see the bolt extend through frame attached by a nut. Removed with pliers

Yeah those didn’t look like factory bolts to me. That was added by somebody. Make sure to seal the holes so you don’t get water through there where it will start rusting the floor or getting the carpet wet.
