Just bought 2010 Tahoe LTZ. Help!!

Hey guys, just purchased this ride yesterday looking to do some mods. Couple questions im sure someone can help me with.

1. Decided on Corsa sport exhaust. Where is the cheapest place online to purchase to start me off?

2. Looking to debadge the car, color match the mirrors, door handles and see if i can find a color matched door bumper strip. All of these are now chrome.

3. Looking for the best 2 piece black mesh grill to replace the existing chrome one. I dont want to have to modify the bumper so the one piece one is a no go unless comeone convinces me otherwise.

4. Some early model tahoes have a tray vs. Wood trim with compartmments for the certer console. Is this interchanable and where would be the place place to find and purchase the tray which i like?

The car is that black graphite, 23k miles purchased in MI for $40,350 for those that might just want the info.

I think a TYF member on here Timmy has a black 2 piece grill he'd probably trade you for your chrome one. You should PM him and ask!

4. The tray is available on any gm parts store like gmpartsdirect.com or even on eBay. All you need to do is locate the correct part number for it and you can buy the part and switch it out; they are directly interchangeable if i'm not mistaken.

To add to #4 - Here is a LINK to someone selling one on eBay. You might want to check if he is selling both the tray and the cup holder insert before purchasing. The part number he provided is no longer used, so I can't help you there. GM must have switched to a new one. I am sure someone else can help you with this.


I can provide a little assistance to question #2 - Color matching the mirrors and door handles are rather easy to do. You just have to purchase ones that are the color of your Tahoe.

- The mirror caps pop right off, and the colored ones then will fit right on.

- The door handles are a little trickier, but they can be done. The door panels need to be removed and the handles taken off and replaced with color matched ones.

- As for the rear bumper strip - not so easy. The only real option is to have it painted, or get a new bumper. The "strip" (or lack there of) on the Tahoe LS and LT is black, so there is NOT really an easy option to switch with. Follow the links below for a more detailed discussion on this.

eBay has some legitimate sellers selling both the corsa touring and corsa sport exhaust systems. I haven't seen them cheaper anywhere else actually...
