I know they say you can do it but I remember the Ford Expedition having many problems associated the on the fly 4 wheel drive. Like I said old school is still best bet to protect your transfer case. Backing up allows the gears to engage and disengage. I know on our shop trucks (all 7.3 power strokes) we have turn in locks up front and we have to back up when engaging or disengaging.

i have never once had a problem with engaging 4 hi while driving on the fly

4 lo, i always stop and put it in neutral before chainging it

and ive had a 96 hoe and i'm currenty in an 03

Regarding your question about the interior, theseatshop.com is what I have in my 01 Suburban. Perfect fit and matching color. Call them, they know everything about the GM leather seats. Youtube install videos too.

Thanks! I will definately check that site out for seat covers. The drivers seat on my 01 is trashed and beyond help. Hell the circuit board under the seat broke so the power seat wont even more anymore, thankfully it died when it was in my normal driving position. I have to figure out how to get the damn seat out though so i can solder the connections on the board back together that broke.

the info for 4x4 sounds good. I hope I wont ever have to engage it while hauling butt down the road, any time i have ever needed 4x4 in my 01 and never had it, was always at slow speeds. Thanks again everyone.
