Is it possible to just swap out the OEM tail light bulbs for LED's?

Tried that with my Jeep, but ended up having to swap the flasher control so I didn't get a fast flash.

Nope no resistors! When I had my 08 Tahoe with G4 led tails I needed resistors for the hyper flashing issue. On my G5 tails I don't need any resistors.

Both my vehicles have g5's and a CREE projector led reverse light and I have 0 resistors.

I think he's talking about just swap bulbs....not swapping entire assembly I.e. g5s....if you swap bulbs to led you WILL need resistors assuming you're swapping the turn signal bulbs

That's where I was going. I was always under the impression that just a bulb swap meant resistors. Btw, I've seen error eliminator harnesses on ebay, anybody tried them to see if they really prevented hyper flashing?

Like these:

I know they are more expensive, just don't feel like splicing my harness nor do I feel like there's a good spot to mount resistors.
