Jarins tails are doing great I think ....... it is a gamble.

Jacobs are fine too.

thanks! do you know what they are doing to help beat the odds?? i think i heard some are using some type of seal to help keep moisture out ?

I had a pair for 3 months no issues.

thanks! do you know what they are doing to help beat the odds?? i think i heard some are using some type of seal to help keep moisture out ?

There are 3 problems.......

Moisture...... clear silicone.

Bad resistors...... new metal ones.

One or two of the LEDs may burn out.......... new set? Or if you are brave try to take them apart a re solder a led? That is IF you can get them apart.


Or you have end up with a perfect set....... no issues.

Thanks JT !! Just got my truck back this weekend and honestly spent so much time on this forums lol the check i got from insurance plus my refund check = :happy107:
Oh yes i am taking those precautions might be going a little over board but better safe then sorry :boxing:

As Lee said, I just ran a quick bead of silicone around the edges as a precaution. Don't know if it made a difference, but it can't hurt right?

I have had 3 pairs and the first ones were the only good set.
