Unfortunately here in california, socal where I live specifically, the GM full sizes are the top vehicles either broken into or stolen. Its really not much of an issue up here in the mountains where I live because our crime rate in general is pretty low. But I always worry when I go off the mountain, especially near Los Angeles that something might happen. Dealing with break ins are never fun.
Hope you get somewhere quickly with your insurance!

And never take the first offer from your insurance company. They tried to total out my 2002 Denali and wanted to give me $3900, told them no way and ended up getting 5900 after doing my own research

I can imagine how you feel but it doesn't look like they damaged it too bad, it just looks terrible sitting like that. Don't let them ruin your Christmas, your adopted family here at TYF cares about you.

Thanks guys. Just the standard alarm, but the cut the horn so it didn't make a peep. Insurance is trying to give me the old run around "Your aftermarket parts aren't insured, etc. etc." The initial estimate is $3100 in damages LOL. Damn near fell out of my chair. Luckily I have a good Chevy team on my side that will make it right. I told the adjuster I didn't appreciate his low ball offer and he proceeded to tell me that my "full coverage" wouldn't cover most of my stuff. Time to play hard ball, that's for sure. The receipts for parts/ labor alone I submitted well exceeded expected damages....not to mention there is probably a few grand in electrical damage alone...not even to mention parts.

Don't know if anything his changed or if it's even applicable in your situation. But when my car was vandalized years ago, the insurance company covered all my losses because they said since the stuff was bolted and secured to car, it made it part of the vehicle. For instance if it I was just a sub box sitting in the back it wouldn't have been covered.

Sorry for your loss... definitely a feeling I never wanna experience again. It makes me think twice about modifying my Z71 smh.

Here's the hug, no strings attached. I know the sickening feeling. Like someone else said I'd direct the Po Po to anyone you recently met that saw all you had done. There are too many yukons/Tahoe out there for it to be a random thing. My buddy was able to buy his back since insurance totaled it and he had enough left over to build it back. Sure it had a salvage title but he didn't care. He knew what it was and wasn't planning to sell it. Good luck man

Here is the latest...due to the fact that I do not have "aftermarket endorsements" and the OEM wheels and tires were not the ones that were stolen, they essentially want to give me $1,000 to cover my tires, wheels, and radio. A word of advice, never endorse your aftermarkets unless they happen to be crazy expesnive and just let the insurance company think that your OEM's were taken as they will pay out more. I essentially shot myself in the foot by being truthful and sending in receipts. Fighting it tooth and nail though as they are still responsible in bringing the car as close as possible to market value prior to theft. If ya'll have any additional advice though, it would be greatly appreciated. I've filed with the Texas Board of Insurance as they are denying wrecker and storage fees as well which is clearly covered in my policy in cases of theft. It's been a long month now. Cheers guys and have a Happy New Years!

Anyone hoarding a set of 20" LTZ wheels or something similar in good shape? 2007-2014? The newer the better! It would help my situation quite a bit.
