Hi,

I just purchased a 99 tahoe LT 4x4 with 137K on the clock for $2500 bucks. She needs few things to be in excellent shape:

2 new doors
four new shocks--Would you recommend billstiens?
Four new tires(prob going to replace wheels too)
fuel lines
brake lines
RF ABS sensor(How much of PITA are these to replace?)

My questions are I am assuming the tranny fluid was never changed, are the miles to high to even bother?

Same goes for differential fluid?

Looking for some input, thanks.

Going to be painting the frame/wheel wells this weekend, should look great!.

:welcome: I recommended Edelbrock or adjustable Rancho shocks. If mostly street use with occasional off-road then maybe Bridgestone desert Dueler A/T Revo2's. Abs sensor should take less then 15 minutes.

For tranny and differential fluid look at and pay attention to the condition and smell and your driving habits and compare that to the info in owners manual. If you think you need to change tehm then consider it don e for at least 50,000 to 100,000 miles as long as you do not abuse it.

De-mold that thing while you are at it.

Tyler congrats on your new rig. I just got my very first tahoe as well. A 2dr. 1996. I've learned a ton on this forum over the last few weeks and it all has paid off. I'd change out all the fluids on your rig. Just resolve to do it. Change out the serpentine belt. Don't skimp on the tranny. Take it to a shop and get the fluid and filter changed. Far as tires and wheels that's all personal taste. Have fun!:mexsmoke:
