Change the VIN where? The cluster?

the vin# is stored in the pcm. only miles are stored in the cluster.

Thanks guys. Im going try to find a used cluster and send one in to be rebuilt.

Its still running well. Used it to haul 2 cars today, worked great. Getting a Bluetooth ob2 scanner on mon. to run codes.

But noticed today the rear heat blows cold. Any ideas?

Most of them bluetooth scanners cannot read body codes, just engine. Get a Tech2 and see EVERYTHING.

If battery died like you said, put a battery in it 1st, loss of voltage can cause all kinds of issues, there are some cluster repair places that swap them out not bad cost wise....ck ebay

So here it is. Haven't worked out the gauges yet. Put in new plugs and wires, motor sounds good.

Noticed the 3rd brake light was out, so installed this new clear and black one.

Questioning the brakes now, nose dives super hard under moderate braking. So thats the next thing. I'll probably rebleed the brakes. Do some hard braking and check rotor temps, unless anyone has a better idea.

BT scanner works well on every car but the Yukon, wont connect to ecu! I wonder of it has anything to do with the cel. Any ideas?
