Been awhile since ive been back hear. nice talking with other gear heads. My racing partner died and so did some of my ambition with in. i rushed to put a motor together and get the car out one last time before he died and he died and so did my motor. so its all apart again and licking my wounds. Old age maybe nice but watching your friends and family pass is not easy. Wow did i get my ass busted replacing hub on my 06 yukon Cal. vehicle salt water ,, must have been used to dump boats in the Ocean as its worse then a midwest rust bucket. Took me 2 days to get that hub out totally rusted together. Had to make attachments and use a slide hammer to remove it and then it took 600 wacks with that to free it. 30 pound sledge and big hammers and wacking pushert bolts on it just wouldnt let go. The hub broke off from the rest of it which really makes it even harder to remove.
Had a similar issue with my 03 Tahoe. Beat on that hub for awhile getting nowhere. Went to HF and bought an air chisel. Literally 1 minute later it was off. Best $30 I ever spent.
