Hi all!

I replaced my stock air filter with a high flowing K&N, no other mods on my 2007 escalade ESV 6.2. Since, the truck has been hesitant and bogs down on acceleration if I put my foot in it as if it is running too lean. Should I have the computer reprogrammed to account for the increased airflow? I would think it would adapt based on what it saw from the sensor. Also, mileage has decreased slightly.

Any help would be much appreciated.

ECM will eventually adjust i would either disconnect the battery for like 15 minutes or get like an elm 327 to turn your smart phone into a scan tool and reset the ECM either way it will have to relearn your driving habits and adjust the fuel trim accordingly you can pay alot of money for a tune but either way will only get you part way you would need to get a set of better injectors get rid of the K&N and get a plain old factory one if you wanna get a worth wile intake mod just get the air raid junior kit with the straight tube

Just so you know. The air filter should be light pink not dark red and saturated in oil. Clean the oil off the MAF sensor using MAF sensor cleaner

Def clean your MAF and check to make sure no connections are loose from the install.

Same story here. Put in K&N air filter 2 months ago. Didn't get the bog until I returned from long rad trip. I clean MAF, but still get bog. I might switch back to standard air cleaner and clean MAF again and see what happens

No CAI, just a K&N filter replacement in stock box

This.

No need to get rid of them, clean your filter as well as the MAF.
Re-oil the filter with a light coat as you watch the color and let it sit for a decent amount of time.
I've used K&N filters and kits for well over 10 years without any issues. I buy two filters, one for use and the other so I wont have any down time while tuning up my vehicle.
