K2XX high beam improvement

Has anyone found a good plug and play replacement for the OEM crappy yellow HB3 high beam bulb?

Did the Osram CBI in the lows and now the highs look terrible in comparison.

Were the CBI a huge difference in output on the low beams? I hate my factory HID's on my 2016 Yukon Denali.

Maybe 20%-25% better overall. For everyday driving I like the whiter color better, but in snow it is worse with what appears to be more reflection back at you.

this is a Morimoto 2 stroke 3.0, i have them in the low beam currently (as pictured)...doing fogs next, then highs.

+1 for the Morimoto 2 stroke 3.0's!

I have OSRAM CBI's in my low beams and the Morimoto 2 stroke 3.0 in my high beams. The Morimoto 2 stroke 3.0's are very bright in the high beam position and the high beam pattern didn't change it just became brighter. I also like how the Morimoto's are more of a 5000K color than 6000K (like most other LEDs), color is better on the eyes and more usefull.

That or look into the OSRAM CBB. Though it says a higher kelvin apparently it's the same color as the CBI but brighter.

In looking them up you ordered the 9005? I have not looked, how did it work with the back cover/housing?

Yes 9005 for High Beam. The the cord and driver fit all inside the headlight area; Black Dust Cover goes back on no problem.

EDIT: It is a tight fit, and there’s no real flat surface to secure the driver to. But it’s such a tight fit that I don’t see it moving around enough to cause any problems.

i also just slid the driver into the housing, it is a snug fit i have had no ill issues...dust cover goes right back on.

some say the lights are LOUD from the fans...not the case. YEs you can hear them, but i say this...when i pull in the garage and shut the vehicle off, it sounds like the wife is vacuuming inside the house, very light sound from the driver.
