Ok, so everytime The truck is in a drive gear (D,1,2,3) and I press the brake pedal the fuse pops!

I already replaced my tail light harness ($155), the boards behind my tail lights with new bulbs, and tail light sockets up front with new bulbs.

HELP!

You talking tail marker filament fusing or brake light filament fusing when depressing brake pedal? And nothing in P, R and N correct?

The 20amp fuse hat is located on the side of the dash facing the driver's side door.

Yesterday, I tried messing with the safety neutral switch and still no avail.

This time the fuse popped when I took it for a test drive and I was driving straight.

:(

I really don't want to throw a high amp fuse and wait for smoke!

Also I pulled my brake light fuse and I still have brake lights...WTF

if your socket and wiring are clean I think you are shorting in between out in front of firewall on the main harness to the tranny or rear harness. Want diagrams? mention the year of truck as well.

Hey Sunlit, I'd love to have a diagram of the taillights. The when I use my left turn signal the fuse blows. I'd like to check to see if I have a short in the wiring that goes to the left tail light before I try replacing the turn signal switch.

So after about a month and 200 dollars later it is fixed.

Went to my buddies house who is a master tech who has been helping me with all my problems and upgrades.

We changed the green wire that powers my back up lights and BAMMM got turn signals! Says most likely that someone probed the wire years ago and never taped it up there fore the elements got into it and corroded the wire. This wire runs from the front of the truck near the tranny up and over it into the trailer harness plug....

WOOOOO thank god!
