2011.....always wondering if there has been a software update for the tcm to make it shift better...I bought this Tahoe 1 year ago, so I don't know if it has ever had any tcm updates. Has anyone here had updates done for the 6l80 tcm? If so, was it worth it, and what benefits did it do?
How much extra fluid can you put in there?Buy this and put it on, deeper and finned...View attachment 207614

a transmission oil cooler and deep transmission pan will help keep the transmission temps down, I have both on mine and regular driving for me (speeding for you) then my temps are usually in the 140's range, so if you drive like a normal person it may bring it down to 120's-130's depending on your elevation
No 5.3, but nonetheless, its only deeper on the one side, not the exhaust side. Fyi 6.2 and 5.3 bolt up same to 6 soeed trans. Basically they are same motor,Just a question in regard to the deeper pan, The space between the trans pan/ exhaust crossover is allready tight. Is the deeper pan still recessed to allow for this clearance issue or the same depth throughout? i want to install one simply for the drainplug and future servicing but questioned the fit. Oops, i see the pic but i dont feel i have the much clearance currently, The pic is a 6L80 on a 6.2?

I bought the b&m pan for mine, the exhaust had to be lowered a inch or two to get it on but it does not rub or anything it was just while getting it installed
I bought that one and it looked like it wouldn’t fit with my headers so I sold it to a member. After that I ended up buying my Performabuilt and it has a warranty that I don’t want to void. They use a stock deep pan and also provide a heavy duty cooler but I run the Tru Cool. I figure if a performance trans builder specs a stock deep pan, it should be good.Derale also makes one that has cooling tubes in the bottom of it.

Pretty cool idea... unfortunately from looking at the stock deep pan height, and comparing it to this one, it will definitely not fit with the exhaust crossover pipe in the factory location.
