if you have problems with sundowns doing into protect its time for a 260+ amp alt. get one from dom, he'll hook you up.. hell he'll make you a 350amp if the money is right..(like $500-550 for a 350amp)

i borrowed a 4500 and it never went into protect with just a deka g31 on it. id prefer 2 of them on the 4500 b/c the dimming that was going on... i just found that it pulled way to much for the power is was making so i opted for the stetsom 4k2D.
benched 4326@2ohm at 12.9. with the truck on off the stock alt i managed to stay around 13.2 but when i toss the dual alts in i should be able to stay at/over 14.
at 14.2 the shop benched the amp at 5600rms... best $550 i ever spent vs that was the price i could get a saz3000 for.

the problem is that i cant afford a nice alternator right now. i might just pick up a 200 amp off ebay for $125 and make my own dual alt bracket. that way ill be around 300 amps, and of course another battery

a dedicated battery will help now, but you will eventually need a ** alt.

It takes power, to make power. If your playing low voltage, you could cause amp, and woofer damage.

O yes I know. Thats why I said I was gonna pick one up. I also have the bass knob turned down almost all the way so I dont fry anything with low volts.

Nothing new with this so far. Somebody from spain got ahold of my debit card number and spent $158 of my money. They tried to spend $950 but thats when the fraud people caught it. So no money for batterys of alternators.
