Got a service light the other day. Took it in to Autozone to read the code, i cant remember the exact number but the first thing on the list it printed out was a defective knock sensor. I had him reset it, just to make sure, and it came back on about 50 miles later. anyone have experience replacing the knock sensor on these?

edit* the code is P0327

I just did mine and it's a bit of a pain. Post back if you decide to do it and we'll tell you about the small things the manuals assume you know.

I ordered my parts (FelPro PermaDry intake gaskets, Delphi sensor, sensor connector) from Rock Auto for $125 and it took me about 3 hours to do, figuring it out as I went.

I did mine about 2 months ago, they are easy for a experienced tech, but may scare a rookie. My advise is to replace both just because. You can also re-use the upper intake gaskets as long as you don't tear them pulling apart.

Yes, I looked at the manual and it wasnt very helpful looking. I looked at Rock for the parts, thanks. I assume you went ahead and did both. And in the parts list at rock which connector did you get? Any tips would be much appreciated.
