i have led's for all my lights (inside & outside) They work great. For your turn singals you wil need to change your flasher (older thucks). Newer trucks you will need a load equalizer. Headlights and fog's are Hid's 6000K. NOTE: this is on a 2008 tahoe.
Hope this will help you ? Steve

I have an 8k HID kit for my lowbeam's but for the DRL's I have SMD-LED lights that are plug-n-play BUT you need a protector so it doesn't blow your fuse since the DRL's voltage spikes occasionally. If you don't get the protectors your LED DRL's will blow.

So, if you get LED's for your DRL's you need two of these LED protectors (one with red wire)

Thank Modded for all that great info he provided for me when I asked the same question :)

I was going to change turn signals too but I wanted to retain somewhat of the factory look in the headlight casing.

Hey guys - great info in here. I'm kind of an electrical noob. I looked at the protectors in the link provided above. Correct me if I'm wrong, but, you just have to cut the stock ground wire running from the DRL's, and put these protectors in between?

Any other suggestions? Maybe a photo of your install?

Also - Any links to the proper/appropriate LED's for the DRL's?

Yeah Brad that's all you need to do, The protectors come with quick splices so you will cut the blue (+ve) wire that goes to the back of the DRL connector and then put the protector inbetween. Same goes for the black (ground) wire of the backside of the connector.
You can put any 3157 LED bulb you desire in there, but I suggest you get an SMD or SMT type 3157 led bulb since they last longer than regular LEDs, and also do not get blue or red LEDs or you will be your local police department's new friend.

Thanks!

So just to clarify - You have to use the protectors for the positive AND ground wires for EACH light?
