I’m looking to upgrade tires on my 2022 LT. I have OEM 22” wheels. I’ve seen someone ran a 305/45r22 on a Denali with no issues. I’m wondering if there is any difference between ride height or wheel well capacity on a Denali though. I’ve seen others post they got away with a 285/50r22, but conflicting information saying they had to trim fender liners unless you add a level kit. I don’t want to go the lift/leveling route as I’ve lifted pretty much every car I’ve ever owned and it usually results in suspension noises or a worsened ride quality. Apologies if the answer is out there and I’m not seeing it, but couldn’t find any examples other than Z71 stuff. Really just doing it for looks and a more aggressive tread pattern. Z,

I ran a 285 50 22 with the factory wheel no issues what so ever.

I’m currently running a 295 50 22 with 20 off set, it has the air suspension and when in the lowered position and hard turn it does have a very slight rub, I mean every once in while depending on incline.

Wheel is 9.5 “

Both tires were NITTO RIDGE GRAPPLERS

2022 Tahoe had the factory wheels, 2023 Tahoe the non factory wheels.

Hope that helps,

This is very helpful. How was the ride quality with the E rates tire?

Are any of those same size tires able to fit in the factory spare tire location?

I’m wondering if I could get away with the 295s that you have in stock suspension and stock wheels. I don’t have air ride so maybe the high country sits a bit higher. The stock wheels being narrower and a little less offset should give me extra clearance though. What do you think?

I’m thinking you could because it doesn’t drop down any lower than stock height. Also that the stock wheels are narrower.

Discount should be able to test fit one for you.

The 285 will definitely work, I had zero issues.

Alright cool, I’m assuming the normal ride height for your high country is the same as my LT. So if you don’t rub at normal height, I should be safe. I found a set of AT tires made by a company called AMP based out of Canada that seem highly rated and they are slightly smaller than the Ridge Grapplers. Based on the quick measurements I took and your input, they should clear without needed to make any modifications. Appreciate your help.

Did this work ? I have a 22 RST duramax and I’m wanting to order tires today . Did you have any issues with the rub at 285?

Depends what aspect ratio you got with 285’s. The width isnt the issue. 305/45’s fit with no rubbing…but some of the 285’s get quite tall.
