regarding your line of questioning by the police, i know its infuriating, but do you know how many times they respond to a stolen car where the person insists it was stolen and then come to find out, Jr. had it and he gets pulled out at gunpoint, etc. Or the repo man took the truck, etc. I know this wasn't your case, but they still have to ask those questions.

Unfortunate experience I'm sure. I've had my car stolen and I had a pit in my stomache for days. Fortunately for us, they found it and the idiot who stole it. Insurance paid out and we got restitution for the custom work that was done to it from the defendant.

I find that having stickers on my window that say stuff like

PROTECTED BY GLOCK

.45 ACP - BECAUSE SHOOTING TWICE IS JUST SILLY

NOTHING IN THIS TRUCK IT'S WORTH DYING FOR

seem to do just fine with preventing theft. I've never had a car stolen or broken into. And, if they did manage to steal it I'd track out down before the cops.

However, I use to work for Avis Car Rental. I did once go on an observation with the FBI where I witnessed one of my company's Cadillac DeVille get driven into a container and put on a ship. We didn't go after the car. The FBI didn't go after that carry art that moment. They were more interested in seeing where the ship went and where the cars were going. I was willing to risk a few cars for them to put a real end to that ring.

Just because you cant start it doent mean it cant be stolen. Look up how to steal in 14 seconds. All that is needed is a driver and a Push from another vechile.

I am sorry to hear about your loss. I hate hearing about this kind of stuff

Damn that sucks. My moms car got stolen once and found a few months later parked in some apartment complex abandoned.
At least you made it out good in the end. Insurance companies always suspect the owner of the car is behind the theft somehow when cars are reported stolen.
It's kind of like when the spouse is always the first suspect after the murder of the other spouse.

Yeah I know but it frustrating when those were not the circumstances. The cop took his sweet @$$ time asking questions and we could have contacted Custom at the bridge to stop the truck from going across by having OnStar shutting it off.
