leaking transfer case on 1998 2 door

I have a98 2 door tahoe that i just had the transmission rebuilt around 300 miles ago and now my transfer case is leaking where the shaft from the transmission comes into the the transfer case and the fluid is red do the transmission and transfer case share fluid also what needs to be fixed in order to stop the leak?

if you have a 98 and I push button t-case the fluids are different types and should not be mixed. if your tranny fluid level is going down and the same time it is the fault of bushings or seals in the tranny and it needs to go back to the shop and be fixed under warranty. there are seals in place to separate the fluids into each component. that adapter should not be leaking fluid. the t-case should be removed to determine exactly where it is coming from. fix it and put new gaskets on the adapter housing. and as i mentioned if you do have a '98 and push button t-case ensure it is filled with gm autotrac 2 fluid only.
