Debating the jump to LED headlights, but the ones with the fan concern me. Not because of the fan, but because in my housing they would essentially be sealed up and not sure how the fan would work as well that way...

Anyone with LED lights with the cooling fan have comments on this? I just imagine a fan in a sauna. Sure air moves, but is it any cooler?

Anyone? Just wonder about the air temp inside the headlight since it would be sealed up and the fan would only be circulating the air trapped inside...

I had something similar and they looked amazing. The issue I had was really bad radio interference when they were on. I couldn't listen to any radio stations. Not sure if it was because they were cheap chinese ones off of ebay or what? but I sold them. Any interference with those posted above?

The other issue is HID. I have them / had them in a few vehicles. I don't care for the start up flash and I had some issues with bulbs and ballasts here and there. LED seems easier, so can you run LED in those retros?

$$$$$.

I may just do LED in the fog lights and deal with the crap-tastic OEM lights. I just can't see that kind of money on a set of headlights.

Initial $$$, but if you compare how much it cost to let's say replace a Cadillac Escalade headlamp, it's about $1k PER side, so you're looking at $2k or more for a replacement, should something go bad. $1k for a retrofit with your choice of options is really not bad at all.

I think the pictures in the other thread speak for themselves. You gotta remember, in those shots with the originals, it's nice and clear outside. Things get a lot worse with inclement weather, making it downright impossible to see. You almost are forced to use the fogs as well to get as much light output as possible.

Not sure about LEDs; you might want to reach out to BFC for that questions. As regards to issues, I have zero issues with start up flash (it's 0.25 of a second, basically minuscule to none), warms up to full intensity in about 5-10 seconds, and no issues with ballasts either so far.

I am going to add my opinion back in here as ive seen multiple threads dealing with LED, and people jump in saying dont do it, here is a better option that costs far more.
Granted, i dont want to be a problem for other drivers. But I also am not in a position to justify the cost of a huge upgrade. I respect what goes into them, i respect that its high technology. But for me it is not affordable. I installed the LED kit i linked above, took the time to aim them and have been impressed with the output. Call it an illusion to my eyes or whatever anyone wants to. But i have better illumination when driving and not had a single person flash me oncoming. Ive had the LED in for about a month now.
I parked my tahoe between a benz and an infiniti, all 3 with lights on in the pitch dark. Even with the LED the output and glare of those 2 were far more than mine.
