Hello all. New to the forum and hope I have the right one.

I have an '04 Denali where I just installed LED's in the front turn signals only. The flash rate is now irratic. After doing some research I read someplace where I needed an LED flasher unit. I found one at Super Bright LED's. LED Flasher Unit EP29L. I cannot for the life of me figure out where this thing goes, or if I even have the right thing. I've searched the owners manual and online. :emotions122: Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Chris

also called load equalizers, the problem with a lot of the LED conversions (especially the ones on ebay) don't have load equalizers installed. The draw of an led bulb is almost nothing compared to traditional incondescent bulbs, thus causing higher flash rate. Hope this helps

Thanks, it does help. But here is where I'm confused.

The Super Bright LED's website said this is what I needed, the EP29L LED flasher unit. It also said one should "definitely use one of these instead of load resisters", their words. I bought into it and ordered it, $20 shipped.

When it came, I got my manual to figure out where it goes, under the hood or beside/under the drivers dash. When I couldn't find it, I found this online in another forum: http://ryoogle.com/LED/tahoe-hyper-flash-fix.php According to this, the flasher unit has 10 prongs on it and it's behind the fuse panel to the left of the dash. The one I bought has 4.

Is there another one somewhere that I don't know about? I live in Chicago, it's 15* outside and I don't have access to a garage at the moment. I originally thought the flasher unit I bought would go under the hood, it looks like it would, but the prongs aren't set up that way. I have no problem buying the resisters, I just figured if super bright said this is what I needed for an '04 Denali, then there must be a place for it.

I have taken the flasher unit out of my 2006 Yukon and filed the arc down. It does work with the hyper/rapid flash taking the flash back to normal rate. It is the cheapest way to do it. it takes about 25-30 mintues. Just follow the instructions on the link http://ryoogle.com/LED/tahoe-hyper-flash-fix.php . good luck.

nope, they just sold you the wrong thing. Doubt anyone makes a flasher module for NBS or NNBS... just for the old school ones that work on most everything.

I tried that and it didn't work for me, unless I didn't file it enough. How much are you supposed to sand and which side is the how-to refering to? The top of the arch and down both sides, or the side of the arch that faces out?

Figured they did. Went to NAPA and they do have one for the tahoe/yukons with the 10 prongs for led's....at $70.
