I've had the smoked on my truck for over a year now, and I wouldn't trade them for shit! True 5 star buy IMO.

I have the clear but I agree with Chip- 5*.

I agree. I have no smoked ones and I was following my wife lastnight she was driving the tahoe.. I was like Damn those are TOO bright!

I also have these, in the "smoked". They are super bright. Way brighter than stock tails even with the tint.
I vote you get the "smoked", but you can't go wrong with either of them.

But wait, there are more questions.

After watching the X3 Installation video as well as KMAN's video, I am wondering about the following:

- HOW do most of YOU out there run/configure these lights???

STOCK Configuration is:

TOP - Turn Signal.
CENTER - Reverse/Back Up Light.
BOTTOM - Brake Light/Rear Running Lights.

In KMAN's Video, he has the Brake Light/Rear Running Light on the TOP, Turn Signal in the Center. (Obviously the Reverse/Back Up Light on the X3 Light will always be on the bottom).

So, do most of you do it like in KMAN's video clip, or do most of you have the Turn Signal on the TOP to match stock configuration???

when i hooked mine up they would only work in the configuration kman has them in his video

Yes they only work one way.

Why is that? Different connectors or the wire length?

Looking at the attached installation video, I want to say that the longest wire (which was the turnsignal) is put back on the top of the LED light, which would keep the configuration the same as stock was.

What am I missing?
