maybe even mount them above the rear bumper, below the hatch (same place you'd mount the "line of fire" brake light

try whelen vertex RED LED strobes in the reverse lights...thats what i have and they definitly do the job

I have strobe tubes in the tail and reverse of my obs tahoe the reverse one was a little tight but fit. Also a company called feniex industeries developed a 3 mode dual color hideaway led light. So if you wanted you could get red/white and replace your reverse lights with them and not cut anything but you will have to tap into your reverse light wiring

You can put one of these and just use your existing LED tails. Or if you have LED reverse lights, hook it up to those.
