Yea,.. the strips are super cheap and pretty easy to work with,... especially with the connectors you can buy for them,.. Im gonna give it try too.

What year is your ride? After 02 I think they're soldered in, not twisted in.

I am 2004 Z71,... but the kit I linked to says it fit 04 Tahoe

Only 2002 and older can be replaced without soldering, regardless of what eBay or any other site says. I can tell you for SURE that 03 on up DEFINITELY needs to be opened up and soldered.

True dat. Preach it, brother. Now ..... Can you confirm how to activate a trans temp gauge?

Wow that's a lot of money. For a fraction of that you could have bought the parts and soldered them in yourself or paid someone locally to do it. It's pretty easy. I did mine with 5mm LEDS FOR $10 but I'm gonna give the strips a try
Yep cheaper to do it yourself, but for me most of the stepper motors were bad, [ they can be a little tricky to soldier in ] so they replaced all of those and changed the leds.

They are soldered the same way as the lights. But hey it's your money
