Left front parking light on

Any idea why the driver side parking light stays on? I thought I'd use the remote start to cool my 07 Tahoe down a bit (something I almost never use) and it wouldn't start. When I got in and started it normal, I had a check engine light. Ran fine so I drive home and parked in the garage. Now that one light is on.

Well, the remote start is disabled when a CEL is triggered and it is probably related to an emission test that failed, like a large or small leak. Don't know about the light, if the owner's manual doesn't shed light on it, I would say the two issues are not related and incidental.

Do you mean it is on when everything is shut down and the other lights have timed out?

Yes, just the one light, and it stayed on even after pulling the fuse. The check engine light mystery has been solved. Yesterday at 3:30 in the morning on my way to go fishing, it decided to tell me to tighten my gas cap. I don't know why it kept it a secret for two days. I haven't seen that strange electrical gremlin since right after I posted this question.

Very strange.

I have never gotten the "tighten gas cap" message, but have gotten the code/CEL and when I looked it up found my gas cap was loose, gave it a few turns and it all went away maybe 20 miles later.
