Hey all - sorry for the lengthy explanation, but I figure if I outline the entire issue and what I've done that will save on redundant questions.

I have a 99 Tahoe, initially the brake/tail/turn signal did not work on the driver side rear light. The passenger side rear and third brake lights work. also the passenger side rear turn signal works.

for the driver side rear, I changed the bulbs, but to no avail, still didn't work. next replaced the after market tail light with stock tail lights, circuit board in good shape. replaced the connection plug and now the tail lights work on the driver side rear, however brake and turn signal on driver side rear are not working. At this point I'm somewhat stumped as to what to check next. I figure it's wiring but not sure if re-wiring the whole truck needs to be done, since the passenger side and third light work perfect for brakes/tail/turn.

any suggestions?....Thanks in advance

Did you ever get it solved? Mine works when the temp. is below about 85, but above that nothing works on the drivers side rear.

Check for power and ground on the driver side. Inspect your wiring and see if you have any damaged wires. Check fuse's, I don't know if there is a separate fuse for the driver side or not. I don't think so, but if so check that.
