thanks!! Ya, the E-fans was the best thing so far, as far as engine dress up-owe ya, it also helped ALOT!!! I actually made them myself, instead of buying the $300 silverado e-fans, went to junk yard, bought some 13" fans, made some custom brackets, and walla!! turned out pretty good.
As fas as painting the plastics. Had my neighbor spray the coolant, brake and electric box plastics, did it cheap was the only reason. But for the middle vortec plastic cover, e-fans and some other plastics, used Krylon plastic paint with High Temp clear coat. So far, so good. Been on there for about 3 months now, with absolutely NO peeling, cracking, chipping, fading, yellowing, NOTHING!!!. If your not gonna use a plastic paint, and just a High Temp paint, make sure to sand thuroughly, use prep spray, and usually a paint inhebitor is the best bet. Also primer!! But gotta say, have used Krylon's plastic paint on alot of other stuff off the car, and it works great!!! Doesn't really get hot enough to peel paint inside engine bay, unless really close to headers. from my experience

Thanks man. One of these days I'm going to fiberglass a couple covers to go on each side to cover all the hoses, harnesses, etc to clean it up some. Thinking about painting them black then airbrush something like Supercharged 6.0 or something on them in some sort of wicked font. That's the plan anyway.
Some fiberglass or carbonfiber covers would look sick. I have done alot of carbon fiber work in the past on my old rides, and have been thinking about doing the same thing your talking about. But having that 6.0 supercharged beauty under the hood, speaks volumes!!!! That would look real sick having it airbrushed like that. Keep me informed on any ideas you may come up with, not looking to steal, just looking for ideas. Promise not to bite, just nibble!!! LOL. I'd like to do something along those lines of some fiber/carbon covers to kinds clean it up, and cover up the excess B.S.
