I think the reason the guy gave you crap about a heavy keychain is because the weight may cause the key to rotate in the ignition. If it's heavy enough it may bounce and rotate the key to the off position while you're driving. Not good.

As an aside... our son-in-law has a Jeep Grand Cherokee and the dash mounted ignition switch is right near his knee. He has bumped the key and turned it off while on the highway.

THat has been addressed. There is a safety recall for that. Take it in its dangerous.

Man u stole my idea lol..the Hoe keys with both fobs cause the main one don't work worth a damn..my '16 Platinum Max and GTO big ass key..

Let's see I have my hitch lock, console lock, gas cap lock, house and safe key. The Maxima is all electronic so I barely pull the keys out and the poor GTO has a useless glove box and no trunk lock so no extra keys lol..

Parents’ house Key, Brother’s house key, college house key, autozone rewards, bottle opener, piston fob, truck key and fob. Hits my dash pretty often but I’m used to it. Everything is pretty separate on a carabiner so I can give someone my truck keys and still have my other keys, etc. Hang everything on my belt loop and I don’t have to worry about scratching any screens or anything. I also always carry my lighter, pocketknife, a pair of headphones, and my wallet. Can never be too prepared.

I'll play. On one ring I have the fob and key to the Denali, my office's key, the handy Ground Control bottle opener/back-up Koni strut valving adjuster for my Camaro, and a hoohickey key. The other ring has my Camaro's lock key, ignition key, locking gas cap key, Fred Meyers rewards card, drum tuning key, and some random key that I think goes to a padlock that I used in college to lock up my longboard...or maybe its a key to my parents house?

I separate the Denali and Camaro keys when I'm driving said vehicle. My dad engrained into my head growing up that I'd break an ignition switch if I didn't lighten my key load. Plus, the sound of the keys swinging hitting the plastic in the Denali drives me insane lol.Keys.JPG
