Your absolute easiest most cost effective way to upgrade your brakes for the long term is this. First, get stock replacement calipers from your local auto parts store to replace them. Then for the front discs and pads, R1Concepts Premium cross drilled and slotted rotrs and Posi Quiet ceramic pads. Then let me help you with an SSBC rear drum to disc conversion kit. While the install has a difficulty rating of medium to high, it is a turn key kit with the quess work taken out of the equation. Quality products designed specifically for your truck, not pieced together. You WILL have a more satisfying upgrade experience that will last.

Let me know if I can show how much you would save on a set up like this with your forum member discounts.

For anyone who may be interested in the pricing of the parts quoted from this thread, I have posted what I sent him below. The prices shown are good for shipping anywhere in the lower 48 states. That being said, I advised in a previous message that due to core charges, etc. He would save money by obtaining the 3/4 ton calipers and parts from his local auto parts store.

I have the first part of your quote ready for you. This part of the quote provides everything you need to upgrade your stock parts with better bolt on replacement parts for the front discs and rear drums. This includes the Premium cross drilled and slotted rotors, Posi Quiet ceramic pads for up front ((It would be cheaper for you to obtain the 3/4 ton calipers and brackets locally due to the core charges, etc where calipers are concerned)) R1Concepts rear drum hardware, wheel cylinders, and brake adjustment hardware for both sides, plus the drums and shoes. The quote below is a shipped quote. Please note that the rear drums quoted are standard but are available in Premium grade and in Black, Red, Blue, Silver and Yellow powder coating for $179.80 base price (where the drums below are priced at $134.40).

The price below is for everything shipped. I will have your quote for the SSBC/R1Concepts parts soon, I am waiting to hear back from SSBC on the shipping because I order directly from the Manufacturer. I am going to quote their Big Bite cross drilled and slotted rotors for the best performance, but for $50 less you can have their standard cross drilled and slotted rotors. They also offer powder coating for the rotors for an added $100 in black and red. Otherwise they come in a regular finish. When I send the quote I will show all the options.

Your basic R1Concepts replacement quote is below.

Thanks

Chris

bigger calipers doesnt always mean better stopping power. Hydroboost is the cheapest but yet more effective way on getting those tires to lock up.
