Leveling Kits!

I am about to do a level on mine with Rancho Quick lift loaded up front and bilstein 5100 with this rear adjustable spacer in the back :http://www.prorydeliftkits.com/shop...500-suvsut-3-in-1-rear-coil-spring-block-kit/

This is going on a 2008 LTZ that I acquired from the wife when she got a new ride. Being the LTZ model I am deleting the Z55 Autoride system utilizing resistors. Also all inners, outers, lowers, uppers, links and bushings getting replaced with MOOG. Too bad Moog doesn't make a replacement Aluminum Lower Arm, but love their products so will get the steel and deal with the weight change. Already pulled body moldings and lower valance off the Hoe. Additionally gonna do the small fender trim and run either 285's or 295's on her.

Good luck with your search, this forum is the best I have found for answers on these Tahoe's as I am converting from a NNBS 1500 Silverado myself. I put a 6 inch Fabtech on it, but just want the minor level-lift on the Hoe ....for now ;)



I am mostly a stalker on here for now, but so far 01Konvict seems to be the subject matter expert on lifts and levels.

2.5" in the front. Sits .5" higher in the front.

I put a 2.5/1 on mine and my brothers tahoes, we used a hydraulic lift we have, and never put it down when we did mine but when we did my brothers we did let it down just to look, idk if you're going for a "squat" look or just want a slight lean but if you're going for the "squat" thats what its going to look like with just 2.5 in the front. Also most people on this site are running CCM 2.5/1 kits, and its safe to say most all of them will vouch for the kit, its easy to install and I've had no problems with it.

Mine is only slightly higher in the front with only the 2.5 spacer in the front and no spacer in the rear.

i went with a 3"/2" and couldn't be happier!
Front was a motofab 2.5" upper spacer and a 1/4" ebay aluminum lower spacer (1/2" lift)
Rear was an ebay billet aluminum 2" spring spacer.

Im probably going to look into some aftermarker upper control arms in the near future though. Anything over 2 1/2 in the front puts alot of stress on the ball joints.

Nice man. Let us know which ones you decide on. There's plenty of info on levels on the forum but not so much on aftermarket UCAs. Heck I would probably want to run an aftermarket UCA on a 2.5" front level just for peace of mind and extra assurance.

I'm considering throwing some of the new 4.5'' maxtrac spindles on my 2wd but i would need a 2 or 2.5' rear spacer since is 2.25'' higher in the rear stock. i personally think a 2'' or 2.5'' rear spacer will throw everything out of wack so not sure what route I'm going to take. i personally wouldn't go over a 2'' front leveling kit on the nnbs. I've leveled a few of the nnbs silverados with a 2.5'' and the ride was to stiff and angles were too steep for my liking.

can you do a ready lift kit on an ltz with auto ride? their web site says no, but I don't understand why?

While we're on the subject of leveling kits, what are the differences between spacers that are installed below the shock and spacers that are installed above the shock? Obviously the location but I mean in terms of ride quality, or whether travel is affected.
