Leveling question

I'm going to be purchasing these keys to level my tahoe http://www.roughcountry.com/gm-leveling-lift-kit-7592.html and was wondering if there's anything else I need to buy along with it (like new shocks and such) or if I can literally install and re-align and call it good. Its an 04 Z71. Thank you!

I would inspect all steering components for wear. If they are original, it may be a good idea to change the pitman arm, idler arm, and tie rods now so you only have to do your alignment once.

Once you have the ride height to spec, you may need to replace your bump stops. I know I have to. But since doing my steering components, restoring the ride height to spec, and alignment, my Tahoe handles really well. ln fact, fixing (levelling) the ride height actually corrected the camber adjustment.

Just installing keys to level alone, you should be able to clear 285/75/16's or 285/70/17's on the stock wheels with no problems. Hell, you don't even need to replace the keys, just crank your stock keys up far enough to clear (maybe 1- 1 1/2"), and get an alignment.

Install align and go. As long as you are keeping it relatively low (1-2 inches of lift) you shouldn't need shock extenders.

Personally I wouldn't even buy new keys, i just turned up my stock ones.
