Leveling question

I would inspect all steering components for wear. If they are original, it may be a good idea to change the pitman arm, idler arm, and tie rods now so you only have to do your alignment once.

Once you have the ride height to spec, you may need to replace your bump stops. I know I have to. But since doing my steering components, restoring the ride height to spec, and alignment, my Tahoe handles really well. ln fact, fixing (levelling) the ride height actually corrected the camber adjustment.

Why doesn't anybody do a little research? No need to drop $100 on keys because they are from ROUGH COUNTRY.

Just installing keys to level alone, you should be able to clear 285/75/16's or 285/70/17's on the stock wheels with no problems. Hell, you don't even need to replace the keys, just crank your stock keys up far enough to clear (maybe 1- 1 1/2"), and get an alignment.

Install align and go. As long as you are keeping it relatively low (1-2 inches of lift) you shouldn't need shock extenders.

Personally I wouldn't even buy new keys, i just turned up my stock ones.
