Lift advise early 99 escalade

Hey guys im in need of advise for a lift. its a 99 escalade but the chassis is (from what i can tell) identical to the 95-99 tahoe. i dont have all the fancy escalade stuff on this model, they started that in 2000. So i own a bad ass truck(imo) with escalade styling.

Lets go ahead and get the "why lift an escalade?" question resolved now. i got this truck cheap (click here for the story) Just moved to south texas and love to fish and go to the beach, but some areas are a little off the beaten path. Not to mention in my area i have seen 4 of this style. i stick out with the 22's as it is but realistically they are not practical with out some more rubber around them.

So ive done some research and found the rcx 6" seems to be ideal. I would love to keep the 22's because it will cost about the same for new wheels/tires as to retire the 22's, and i like the way the rims look on the truck. thinking 35-37's. what i will be driving through is sand with the occasional shoal rock. So what are my options, is there an out of the box way to lift this or am i stuck at 1700$ for the lift.. SAS has not been completely ruled out yet. thanks for any imput, sorry for the long winded story. Below is the truck how it currently sits(tire height is appox 31's)

I would do it, same suspension setup as Tahoe like you said, I am in Texas if you ever want to see my truck in person and get ideas/talk about lift options, tire combos, driveline mods etc...

Yea this plan is now canceled. i have way too many other issues to deal with this now. maybe in the future ill retouch on this but as now not gonna happen

I have the same rig and want to add a 4 or 6 inch lift. I see you said you plan in now canceled. What happened?

What were you able to find out about a lift? Did you find one that would bolt right on? My sclade was built May of 99, so I assume that what you are stating about the frame is true for mine too.

Do you have skid plates on yours? I would like to add some to mine, and was wondering if I could get some from Z71 tahoe of yukon that would bolt right on. Any idea?

6" rough country seemed to be the best option i found. That would allow you to run 33-34" tires but... from what i can tell there might be the need for trimming on the running boards and front bumper. And i backed out of this due to costs and other engine problems. Once i get this thing running good and getting better than 10mpg i might look into it again. I was looking at 3700 for the lift and rims/tires(33") installed by me. As far as skid plates i couldnt tell you, i was looking for larger tires for sand and really dont need salty sand sitting on skid plates.

I believe the standard RCX kit with a few of the optional item like teh sway bar links and so on will fit no problem on the caddy. Also you should be able to clear a 35...I do. You looking into some nice rims? The lift is about a grand so 2700 leaves a lot of choices for wheels and tires in a 33.

In leaving: milage....deal with it. But seriously 12-14 is very common, both my trucks get 12

i do deal with it but right now i have other issues i need to address. RCX= rough country right?? also could you post a link from a good source to buy. Also im still looking into the whole auto trac which i cant tell if my truck has. Sorry my last lift (jeep cherokee)i did, i pieced together all the parts i wanted from various mfg's..

RCX = Rough Country. I bought directly from them. Auto trac is easy to tell, do you have a selector that says something like 4wd full time? if so you have autotrac. If you have the stadard 2wd, 4wd hi and 4wd lo, you do not have autotrac.
