Lift gate not working Auto or Manually

Hi all,
I am new here,and was looking for some expert advice.
My 2007 Yukon does not lift the gate automatically or manually any more.
It first stopped auto lift and soon after stopped manual lift as well, I have tried all the buttons fuses etc but no longer can lift gate,it makes the noise but does not disengage,the glass lifts but that's it
PLEASE help my wife is on me

Double check to make sure the button on your overhead console is not switched off.

Not sure on the servo but change the shocks when you get it open.

ya guys did all that over past few months had it all apart and still not opening
I assume there is no way to override manual and auto to open it

Not that I know of, sounds like the mechanism broke in the locked position or the mechanism is just broken all together.

Looks like it might be a long job dismantling from inside,not looking forward to it
