Mr rear wiper motor went out and I removed the bezel to take a look. In the meantime of having it off I went on a mini vacation and my nephew climbed through the window to get to the third row and kicked the mechanism somehow. Now sometimes the glass will lock, other times I can just open it without pushing the button. The lights were staying on and dash said rear window open. I had to unplug it. In this picture, taken from the inside, the glass goes into the mechanism to hold it shut. Where the top arrow is should click down and force that piece of metal where the lower arrow is down. That isn't happening. Where the lower arrow is should press down harder to make the electrical connection and turn the interior lights off. That isn't happening either. I can briefly get that upper piece to click into place but it should be a tighter process. Now it's loose and just pops back out of place with just a light wiggle. I thought about just buying a new mechanism but it's all one big piece and I'd have to remove and reattach quite a bit and potentially cause a new issue. Any thoughts?
