ok guys heres the deal. i have a 2011 LTZ Tahoe 2WD.. i was originally thinking lowered.. because its about $500-$600 bucks for a drop and within my budget and i could keep the stock stiffness and all just lowered..

THEN my brain kicked in... i have a ranch hand Grill guard. and i had a post on here asking if it would look funny dropped with a grill guard.. i think it would so i wanna go lifted.. I've been researching and I'm not having any luck..

Im looking for a 3 or 4 inch lift.. like it to be a level lift.. but not necessary would also like the stock ride but i could go a tad stiffer..ill be using stock wheels and tires for awhile but would like it to be able to handle aftermarket wheels and tires down the road.. (unknown on the type yet).. and the body lifts i heard have issues with the bumper being out of place unless you relocate it if you do then its recommended you don't tow..

I checked out ready lift i only found a 1-2 in left unless it was a 6 lug.. i don't know what the lugs have to do with a lift but thats what it said.. i also read Ready lift has problems with there ball joints wearing..

so i checked out Rough Country and also found they have problems with ball joints and staying alined..also seen that a lot of kits don't work with models with air ride or rear auto leveling.. LTZ was mentioned in this list do all LTZs have this or just specific models?

so any ideas from you guys? i came from tuners so I'm not used to trucks, lifts, and what not.. I'm used to dragging the ground with speed.. i noticed the ready lifts are around $2K.. my budget is about 1k-1300 in parts tops... so i dunno if I'm just unskilled or dunno WTH I'm looking for.. could someone more familiar with lifts give me some ideas or help me out.. Thanks

If you don't like the cheaper basic kits similar to ready lift or rough country and do not want to do a body lift, your only option that I know of under $1,300 is just the basic spacer lift which would be 2.5" max.

If you are used to lowered vehicles, why don't you just sell the grill guard and go low?

I had my Yukon lowered for a little over a year and loved it; I just wanted to go lower but couldn't because I have 4wd. So, I said screw it and went back to stock height plus a couple inches. I have always had lifted or lowered vehicles and it can be a tough call on which route to go with the SUVs and trucks.

Just get a leveling kit and call it a day. The ccm leveling kit is 2.5f and 1r and to my knowledge everyone that has this kit doesn't have any problems with it.

Was thinking that but seems every kit I find says it won't work with the auto ride in the rear. I don't have a problem with ready or rough just heard they have problems but you know how hearsay is lots of good and lots of bad

There you go...CCM 2.5"/1" is a proven kit...I use them for all my clients vehicles, well atleast the ones that want it leveled. If you go aftermarket wheels you are going to want and keep them as close to factory specs as you can, this way you will have less of a chance to rub or if you do rub you won't have to trim that much.
I did 305/55/20's on my tahoe with aftermarket wheels and had to trim some metal located behind the plastic fender liner at the back of the front wheel...(so worth it for the stance I wanted) some have run the same size on stock 20's and did not have to trim any.

so its a level and a slight noticeable lift.. if i may ask how hard is it to install like with a floor jack and stuff

It isn't hard. Floor jack is a must...a second one can be helpful for support. Hardest part is re-attaching the ball joint. (Hint: it has a hex head base that keeps it from spinning so it can be tightened) Other than that it is a piece of cake
