Hi I have a new 2011 Tahoe Z71. I would like to put different wheels (18" Method) and bigger off-road tires (BFG Mud-Terrain) on. Is 2 1/2" front end leveling lifts work (I want to keep it simple). What size tires can I use? Don't think I want to do suspension lift but open too suggestions. Just looking for what will work the best. Thanks ... Oh, I live in chicago any suggestion on where to have it done? I am new to all this.

This is one I just did...Believe it or not, ...1.5" front leveling kit and 18x9 XD addicts, used the stock tires and the wheels made them look totally different

Ken,

I would try to get all this done a shop that has done this before, normally I stay away from the dealership for aftermarket stuff. In my experience, the dealer had the least amount of knowledge when it came to aftermarket stuff. Take your time, shop around, and you'll find a good shop that can do this. my $.02.

Hi fco_gonzo, thanks for your recommendations. I really like the look of your Z71. I really don't want to do a 4" suspension lift. Is there a leveling kit that would let me use a 33-34 inch tire like a Nitto 285/65/18 (32.82" height) or the BFG Mud-Terrain 284/70/18 (33.7" height) or is that too much of a lift for a leveling kit ? Also wish they still made a replacement hood for 2011 like the one you have. Your opinion would be greatly appreciated. Ken

CCM makes a good/affordable 2.5/1 leveling kit. Easy to install and would be great for the Nitto's you mentioned.
