I'm new at this! We have an 07 Tahoe, 4WD.....We are wanting to put a lift kit, tires & wheels on it for my 15 yr old son... maybe 5 in. Need to know what brands? What tire size goes with the 5 in? Looking at Rough Country because I don't really know other brands to look for.

Would like a loud tire, maybe Nitto Grappler? Mickey Thompson?

Assuming by 3" kit you're meaning the 3.5" kit which, from what I have seen, has horrible reviews. 5" appears to have better reviews.

I have a buddy running the procomp 5" and it looks massive. Almost sits as high as the 7.5" Rough country.

Lift depends on how much cash you want to spend. The rough country 5" is a good kit for the money. The 7.5" is the same 5" kit with a spacer in it. Tire size is 33-35" depends on wheel offset. The loudest tire on the market is nitto mud grappler. You can hear them 1/2 mile away. Go big if your lifting!
