"probably" getting a 99 4 door 4x4 tahoe LT tomorrow. I'm new to the IFS world since I'm coming over from the Jeep world. We have our second child ont he way and the wrangler is not big enough. We do a lot of very mild trails and camping, what some folks call expo. The two things I need to know are:

1. What is the biggest tire I can fit stock on a 15x8 rim?
2. What will it take to fit a 33x10.5x15 on a 15x8 rim?

Sorry, I dont know the modern tire size stuff like the 265, 285, etc. Looking to do this on the cheap since a baby is coming the wife has cut my budget.:sad72:

I would just do a 3ij body lift and you can snug some 35s on so 33s would be fine with good clearances. Ifs sucks I would look into going for Dana 44s at minimum if uTrail ride

Well if you do them right they look good. But for the price of doing them right wouldn't it add up to the price of blocks and shocks? Idk I've always stayed away from body lifts so I wouldn't know the price.

I payed bout $150 for my kit when I got it. I prefer those instead of cranki because you won't bring down the life down of the suspension like you would if you crank too much on accident

That is true. Where did you get this lift kit from? You got me interested for the price.

I got it on eBay but its a performance accessories kit the best. Can get on summit aswell but for a bit more. Just nobody makes a rear bumper lift bracket so you gotta weld it up
