Just for overall drivability and choice

The ride usually suffers some with lowering (I had my '09 Tahoe lowered), and raising it might bring accessibility to parking garages and whatnot issues into play. There are trade-offs all ways.

It depends to a certain extent on what you intend to do with the truck. If you are into semi-serious off-roading, you may want to consider lifting the truck. If you are driving primarily on paved roads, I suggest keeping the suspension the way that it was designed. If you want some improvement in handling performance, get a set of Hellwig front and rear sway bars.
