Hopefully you saw that I posted a link to a video about that junction in post #6.

I actually purchased a volt meter so I have to learn and try that. I tried the bulb from the other side that works over there, yet received the same result. I see no loose wires and tried lightly scraping the contacts inside the housing to ensure proper connections. I'm probably going to have to move on to underneath. I read something that there's a block or junction something under there that could be bad.

yes under the bumper there is a pigtail connector that goes from the main harness to the taillight
