So on my 04 yukon xl my lights dim really bad when my bass hits. I have done the big 3 in 0 gauge wire, and I have a run of 0 gauge rockford fosgate wire going to the amp. The amp is a rockford fosgate Power T1000-1bd. It is pushing two alpine type r 12s at 0 ohm. The dim is very noticeable so I cant turn it up at night because it makes my headlights look like strobes lol. My battery is a die hard gold. So do ya'll think that this alternator will solve my problems? Just switching the stock with this one?

Thanks, yeah a yellow top is my next step after the alternator. I just hope the ebay alt has good build quality, because the price is pretty low compared to some ** alts.

Yeah I hope so, I don't know why my lights even dim with about 1000 watts rms anyway. My current alternator might be on the way out, who knows.

If you can swing it I'd look in to the Iraggi alternators, I've heard very good things about them.

For gfunk. You could run a dual battery setup along with a ** alternator.

Put qa good 2 fared cap on it along with that ** alt and you will be good.

Just did same setup as yours in a friends truck, had same probs 140amp alt and 2F cap solved it.

Yeah I'm going to try the ** alt and a new yellowtop when I get the funds for that. I'm going to stay away from caps because I have heard they don't do much and its basically just like putting a band-aid on the problem.
