Lights dimming with subs!

You don't need a cap for a 500w amp. If you have major dimming with an amp that small, there are other problems... like the battery being bad. I ran a zx1000.1 and a 400.4 alpine and had no problems on a yellowtop. Don't put a bandaid on something that really needs a transplant.

I don't think it has anything to do with your LEDs or 8 gauge wire...I just installed a 10w6 and a JL xd600/1 amp and used 4 gauge wire, and I have zero LEDs, and I still have very noticeable dimming when it's cranked up.
