Upper lights do not light up till brakes are applied or turn signal is turned on

Not sure I'd go with them, but it's not that bad a look. It's nice that they are pretty much hidden until you use the brakes or turn signal. Great option to wake up the person behind you.

I hate the new escalade because of the new Volvo tails

I'm of the same opinion, not a fan of the tall tail lights on the new Escalade.
