I'm running a Rockford Fosgate T1500-1bd and 2 12" T1's. I set the gain to the appropriate AC voltage and I get very little bass. I turned the gain up and it sounds much better but am scared of clipping. Why am I not getting the bass with the proper gain adjustment?

I'm using a DMM. The system is at 2 Ohms so that's roughly 1000W. So using the calculation of the square root(1000x2)=44.7Vac.

It's a Kenwood DNX9140. It is set at volume 30 out of 35. It seems like I'll just have to set it my ear and throw the numbers to the wind.
