So, 22 Denali vs 22 slt suspension wise... anyone tested the difference?
Denali -
Premium gas 6.2 (I know is a big difference )
HUD (never needed one)
Suspension (big difference or not)
HID Headlights (big difference or not)

Equals 9k difference between the slt and denali (looking at LauraBuickGMC Prices )just trying to see if I missed anything..

I am just wrestling between the two versions...of which one to buy..

Honestly if you have the coin, get the Denali. If its a stretch, dont.

The 6.2L and the tranny alone are completely worth the upgrade IMO. The rest (including HUD which is awesome and now makes having to look at a the normal speedo in my wifes car feel like I'm driving a model T).

I dont believe the SLT has the MRC? Thats a blessing if you ask me but others here would strongly disagree with that statement.

Only one thing that held us back from the Denali was the seats. We preferred the minimal stitching on the SLT with the Premium Package over the Denali. Simple as that - cost wasn't a factor so it boiled down to seat aesthetics. Oh and our SLT came with the 8" DIC...now I'll say if it hadn't, we may have gone Denali to be fair. The 8" DIC is sweet and wouldn't want a truck without it.

Just want to check if I understand differences between the two levels.
5.3 6 speed vs 6.2 8 speed
No hud vs yes hud
Denali better suspension any notice a real world difference?
Denali badging
No hid headlights vs yes hid headlights.

Am I missing any differences? Just trying to get the price difference of 9k plus.

Thanks.

I've had both. If you load up an SLT with options your close to Denali money. I would choose a base Denali over a loaded SLT. AT resale time, a Denali is still a Denali. I could be a little off on the money. I think GM has gone way overboard on the pricing.

I agree with you on pricing! Five years from now, if not sooner, a Yukon/Tahoe will top $100k ? I'm guessing wages and interest for saving won't keep up with that?

cardude2000, your posts confuse me. You recommend the Denali package, yet you state the new generation is complete garbage.
You state the older generation with 17's are way better than the 22's but your 20's are much more bearable than than 22's...which is a lie. 17's and 22's definitely. 20's and 22's not a big difference...nope not a game changer. I've driven both.
You seem to support your particular Denali over all others yet then state that compared to previous platform Denail's is inferior.
Personally the previous platform was less than impressive. The Suburban was actually a better looking and and more closely comparable platform. Heck my '09 Expedition EL was actually a better platform than the same years' models from GM. Today's Denali is closer to the Escalade than the Tahoe. That did not occur in the previous platforms.
Sometimes your posts just don't make sense to me cardude2000. You seem to flounder on your opinions.

I went for the Denali. I have 20" wheels and the ride is excellent. Everyone comments on how quiet and smooth it is. I made the decision for the 6.2. If you are going to tow then you will appreciate it. I towed a 6500lb trailer and you would not even know it was there. This was my first time to tow any type of trailer and the 6.2 was great. The trailer package, electric brake setup is excellent. The HUD is also nice to have but I would not have bought it for that.
