I was gonna post a similar question but Ill ask it here. I have an 06 2wd Tahoe PPV that has no indication G80 on the RPO sticker. I had thought about swapping in a locker/posi unit but I noticed when I step on the gas driving in sand or on the grass it will pull both back tires. Is this normal for an open diff? I have all the records on this rig and there is no indication of the rear being swapped out or anything added

Jack it up, trans in neutral, rotate one wheel, watching the other. If both rotate the same direction cool. Put trans in park. If rotating is difficult to make the other wheel rotate opposite, you have the good rear end. If it rotates easily, it is not the good one.
