How much would you ***** if you went to Wal-Mart and they charged you $6.99 for a bag of chips with $4.99 imprinted on the bag?
To complete the analogy, you are very hungry for some salty chips and the county is void of this tasty treat. You've considered driving to a store 2 counties away. Sodas are next.

Just look at everyone selling their overpriced used vehicles because they can lol I even quoted my Yukon for ***** and giggles. Carvanna will buy it for more than I owe right now. But it’s not worth it to me
Exactly what I was about to point out. I haven't seen anyone called out over the prices used cars are commanding right now, which by the way, dealers are paying too. They tried really hard to buy my 16 year old Tahoe when I bought the new Escalade a couple of weeks ago. I don't see any difference in owners taking advantage of the current high-priced used market and a dealer trying to get top dollar on their inventory. If they are pushing it too high, then it will sit on their lot.

I wouldn't have to worry about that because I would not buy it. Don't like the tv show? Change the channel.

Not saying it’s right but in the auto world it’s call Current Market Value. Sometimes the dealers have to eat it, but the ace up their sleeve is monkey’g w/ a potential trade value and/or financing if you use their F&I dept.

When I was buying my current Z71, I knew I wanted it but it was back in June of last year and the used rigs were higher than normal and I was a little butt hurt too about his asking price. The only thing that helped save me any money was he was a fellow vet and I found about 3 things that really needed attention. In the end I still paid more for the rig than I wanted by $1000 but I knew I wanted it and members here would have crucified me for letting it go, so I bought it. Best decision I ever made buying a used rig.

Try buying a C8 Corvette from a dealer right now
Cleetus McFarland (Youtuber) sold his used C8, with 8k miles on it, for 40k over what he paid for it new.

SuperSpeedersRob (Youtuber) sold his NEW C8 for MSRP, and found it the next day for sale for 35k more than he sold it for.

This market is crazy stupid. Deals are out there, but they are far and few between. It took me months to find my Esky, and I think I still overpaid for it. 9900 and 80k miles when I bought it.. I thought it was more of a 8500 truck. But market seems to disagree with me..

I got offered 16k for it within 2 days of it being in my driveway.

My Chevy Cadillac dealer locally told me has over 2 years of orders on C8's. He only gets 1 a month and had 27+ hefty down paid orders. Not a single one below MSRP....

I cannot believe people are that desperate for one of these. But then again I’m not a sports car person, I’m a big SUV person. Lol.

I really hope GM starts ramping up their production and gets those chips in. They’ve got a long list of orders to fill.

I really do expect that within the next 5 years there will be way less coupes and sedans on the road. Everyone wants an SUV, small/medium/large, or a truck. The sedans and coupes that will still be made will be high end models. The Corvette is not going anywhere. Again, just IMO.
