Bought a 2007 LT Tahoe...

I've been looking at a 2007 Tahoe. Asking Price is 14950. It's got 130k, a few more miles than I like but good price. Whatever I get I plan to level and put 285/70-17's on. I was curious as to any advice you may have on this tahoe? I'm driving around 200 miles to look at it so I'd like not to make several trips! Any known problems I should look for? It's a 1 owner all highway trips St Louis to Kansas City. Here is an attached pic from his website. Thanks I'm advance, I did Search google, here, and TSB and came up with either this is a great truck or well hidden issue's! --------bought and picked up 2-21-14 130,000 miles.

Looks good from the outside. A cracked dash is a common problem, but it's a design problem, and any replacement is likely to crack again, so it's usually something you live with.

Make sure all the switches work, and show little wear. They do seem to easily wear. Parts are replaceable, but on your dime. I think some also suffer from a flickering or flashing driver's information center.

I'd check the underside for leaks, also checking the holes in the frame for evidence of being pulled on, like if any significant body work was done.

I'd also check the exhaust manifold for missing bolts. It's also common, and depending on whether or not you want to mess with replacement, discovering broken bolts (where the manifold mounts to the head), may be a determining factor on whether or not you buy it. I wouldn't let it stop me, but I turn my own wrenches.

have the seller take it in for a PPI before you make the drive. Let the dealer determine if there is anything that needs to be replaced.

He Took it to A Chevy dealer on my request yesterday. They ended up replacing the the oil sending unti and two tire pressure monitors. Other than that clean bill of health! I am about to do the paper work and get a bank draft.

You calling me fat!!

Nope, just the truck. They're pretty big, although shorter than the 96 Impala SS I currently DD. We would have preferred black, but a white one with low mileage showed up and we pounced on it. Even in PPV trim, it looks pretty big.

Soooo, did it follow you home?
